Eclipse Time!

August 16, 2017

Have you heard that something big is happening on Monday, August 21st? If not, get this: a total solar eclipse will be visible from Nashville for the first time since 1478!

We’re lucky enough to live in a place where we’ll see the moon completely block the sun, and it will get super dark in the middle of the day. It should be crazy!

If you are an MNPS student, teacher, or librarian, you’ll be out of school on the 21st. The Nashville Public Library has you covered with a ton of viewing parties across the city. Check out the full list of NPL events and lock down your eclipse plan!
